Sunrise at Montauk Point
I decided to take a trip to Montauk one November Sunday to get sunrise photos for my slide presentation. The weather report the night before had been for partly cloudy skies, with increasing clouds as the day went on. But the temperature was to be quite warm and the winds rather calm, so I made the 90 minute drive, leaving Stony Brook at about 4:15.
It was a pretty good sunrise, as you'll see below, but the clouds blocked the sun after dawn. As a result, I didn't get any shots of the lighthouse in good light, but it was a nice morning anyway. It's tough to complain about any sunrise at Montauk Point.
